We were married in March 2006 in Sydney. The ceremony was held at St Michael's church in Vaucluse and our reception at the wonderful Catalina restaurant at Rose Bay. We had a wonderful day although it went by all too quickly. Here is a selection of our favourite photos from the day taken by Rhonda Hemmingway Photography who we can't recommend highly enough.
Inge and her father arrive at St Michael's Church.
Sheri, Claire, Inge and Anna ready for the big day and Inge enters the Church
with her father and takes one last look at freedom before making it official!
The bridal party - what a stunning bunch! And here's where we get our good looks??!!
Can you spot yourself??
Who said a fancy car doesn't get you the ladies........
The lads enjoy a hard earned beer!
Bart must have one leg shorter than the other with a lean like that???
Meanwhile George relives his glory days in the Adelaide Hills footy league....
Claire finally does some work.....and we practice the "Dancing with the Stars" routine before the reception
Traveling in style to Catalina's in an Italian Wooden Speedboat for that movie star entrance!! And our view of the restaurant from the boat.
In our humble opinion, the best restaurant in Sydney - everything was perfect and we get a great welcome whenever we go back.
Our MC for the evening.....the wonderful Theo "Lucky" Pappas and our audio visual artiste
Mr Cam "Inches" Inchley - where is that video mate??!!
George trying to remember what table his lovely wife was on??!! As the girls took that opportunity to flee to the bar where some strange magnetic force seemed to trap them there for the rest of the evening........what was the barman's name Claire??!!
Inge and Chris share a joke - hopefully it wasn't about the groom's
prospects later in the evening?!!
Chris holding court during his speech, which given all the laughs, felt more like open mic night at the Comedy Store! Ben enjoys the speeches but is secretly thinking "you bastards, you're stealing all my material!"
Taking care of the formalities......first, the cutting of the cake.......the boquet throw to the frenzy of the single "ladies".......
.....the search for the garter - at least one hopes that's what's going on there???
..........and finally, the Bridal Waltz...... ......performed flawlessly!!
But check out Chris and Claire's form in the background!!!
Thanks to everyone, particularly our parents, bridal party and the many family and friends that traveled from all corners of the globe, for making our wedding day so special.
